PS3 Slim Console

After months of speculation, the release date for the new PS3 Slim console is confirmed as 1st September 2009.

Prices are set at $299 for the US and £249.99 for the UK.

As a consequence of this launch, prices of the current PS3 are starting to fall in anticipation of the PS3 Slim being the much desired Christmas Gift of 2009.

Sony Playstation have said that the new PS3 Slim will have the same features as the current PS3 but is 33 percent smaller, 36 percent lighter, and comes with a 120GB hard drive.
